[edit] Career Mode
The game follows a similar pattern to the previous games in the series. The player selects a skater with whom they enter a career. The game features 9 Career levels, 6 of those having 9 goals each, making a total of 54 goals to complete for each skater. The other 3 levels are competition levels, in which the player must obtain a place (1st, 2nd or 3rd) to advance. Within each level, there are 5 stat points and 1 new deck for each character to collect.
[edit] New tricks
The release of the game saw the introduction of one of the most versatile tricks that can be used, the Revert. It allows the skater to continue their combo when landing in a half-pipe, giving the player a chance to score large combos, well over 200,000 which was quite hard to do in the previous games. Another unique feature is the Hidden Combo trick. By tapping the flip button twice or three times quickly, instead of only once, the skater performs a double or triple trick respectively. This allows for a wider range of tricking options, without reducing the base score of the trick.
